Every year, a tree-planting festival is held to pass this tradition on to future generations. The festival participants include Kyushu residents, businesses, and forest volunteer groups. ULVAC sponsors this initiative and also participates directly in the tree-planting activities by planting cedar and mountain cherry seedlings in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. Every May, the ULVAC Kagoshima Industrial Park holds a volunteer day to clean up the area. For more than 20 years, we have carried out activities such as cleaning the surrounding roads, cleaning the station building, visiting special care facilities for the elderly, cleaning wheelchairs and mowing grass. In the Chigasaki area, five ULVAC Group companies in Chigasaki cooperate in Southern Beach Cleanup activities and participate every year.
